Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca in 2023 could be the largest in history, reports Euronews.
About 2 million people have already arrived in Saudi Arabia and another 500 thousand are expected to arrive.
For the first time in the past three years, the Hajj is being held without sanitary restrictions. In addition, restrictions were lifted for women on the pilgrimage: previously they could not come to Mecca without being accompanied by men. Now this ban has been lifted, but only for citizens of Saudi Arabia.
