The State Library of Turkmenistan organized an exhibition and a seminar within the framework of the Week of Culture-2023

Today, an exhibition was opened at the exhibition center of the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and a working meeting was held for employees of the country's libraries.

The exposition of the exhibition presents the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, books and other valuable exhibits dedicated to the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi, history, culture and literature of Turkmenistan.

During the working meeting, which brought together the staff of Ashgabat and regional libraries, the issues of implementing the tasks assigned to them at the present stage of development of the state, including the digitalization of book collections and the expansion of a unified electronic library system, as well as the study of international best practices in this direction, were discussed.

As noted, the creation of electronic libraries in Turkmenistan has become an important requirement of the time. On the one hand, the electronic library performs the functions of a traditional library, and on the other hand, it performs the tasks of creating, storing and making electronic funds available to the public based on computer and telecommunication technologies.
