The organizers of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou (China) presented samples of medals for the upcoming continental level competitions, the Xinhua news agency reported.
The medals were called "hushan", which translates as "lakes and mountains". The shape of the medals is a circle inscribed in a square with softened outlines. They depict the outline of the city of Hangzhou, surrounded on three sides by hills.
Ribbons on which the medals are hung are made of brocade jacquard using environmentally friendly printing.
The 2022 Asian Summer Games will be held from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, China. They were supposed to take place a year ago, but were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
