In September 2023, the first private STEM university in Russia will open in Moscow, uniting science, technology, engineering and mathematics, Izvestia reports.
The new university will combine the experience of the country's leading physics, mathematics and technical universities and the business expertise of the largest employers. Its main principles are personalization, an applied learning format and student support at all stages.
The source cites the opinion of the rector of the central university Yevgeny Ivashkevich, who noted that the founders of the university are striving to create a platform where students, teachers and future employers unite into one community.
The first two-year program will be launched in September this year, and the undergraduate program will start in September 2024. The first undergraduate enrollment will open to 500 students. STEM university graduates will receive state diplomas.
