Turkmen FIFA referee Charymurad Kurbanov played the first match of the Central Asian Football Association football championship in Bishkek between the national teams of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan as the chief referee, the press service of the tournament organizers reports.
The meeting was held on June 10 at the stadium named after Dolen Omurzakov and ended with the victory of the national team of Kyrgyzstan with a score of 1:0. The only goal scored by Ernist Batyrkanov.
The next match Afghanistan will play against Iran on June 13, and Kyrgyzstan will also meet with Iran, but in three days - on June 16.
According to the rules of the tournament, the winners of the groups will advance to the final, and the teams that take second places in the quartets will play in the match for 3rd place. The final stage of the CAFA Nations Cup-2023 will be held in Tashkent on June 20.
