Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (NSPU) has been cooperating with Turkmenistan since 2009. To date, the university has graduated more than 1 000 Turkmen citizens, who, having confirmed their diplomas in their country, successfully work in educational organizations.
Alfinur Galiakberova, rector of the National State Pedagogical University, told Chelninskiye Izvestia that some of them became directors of schools, and the university still maintains contact with them.
“Today, about 300 Turkmen students study at the university in undergraduate and graduate and postgraduate programs. What is remarkable about students from Turkmenistan? They are patriots of their country, almost all return to their homeland after completing their studies,” the rector of the National State Pedagogical University noted.
At the same time, she pointed out that she sees the merit of the university in this, since conditions have been created here to maintain the atmosphere.
“We hold national Turkmen holidays, involve students in the creative, sports life of the university. For example, our student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Vepa Gurbanov is the world champion in belt wrestling. We have a volleyball team of Turkmen students - multiple winners and prize-winners of the Student Spartakiads of the Republic,” said Alfinur Galiakberova.
