Kazakh farmer Alexander Sofin breeds horses that are only in fairy tales - white with blue eyes. He devoted 23 years to the creation of an unusual suit, and selection work is still ongoing, reports “MIR 24”.
The farmer began to breed white horses with ordinary bay ones. After four years of crossing, the first snow-white foal was born. Now it is already every third horse. They do not change color throughout their lives. The breed was named - zhetysu asyly, which means “Semirechenskaya Blagorodnaya”. In addition to the white suit, fabulous horses are distinguished by endurance.
Now there are two hundred white horses, and in five years the farmer plans to completely lighten the livestock and bring it up to 500.
“To get, say, from an ordinary bay horse or a black white foal, it takes me from eight to 10 years. In order to completely clean up and consolidate the breed, about four generations of horses must pass”, - said Alexander Sofin to a correspondent of the TV channel.
The farm is confident that these horses will become a brand of the Zhetysu region and a magnet for tourists.
