Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alihan Smailov signed a decree on the approval of two new holidays, which will henceforth be celebrated in the republic - Mother's Day and Father's Day, the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper reported.
The initiator of the inclusion of two new holidays in the list of holidays was the Ministry of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan.
Mother's Day will be celebrated every second Sunday in May, and Father's Day every third Sunday in June.
