On May 31 and June 1 in Ashgabat, on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly, for the first time, an interactive choreographic performance Myselves will be shown, created by the K. Danse group (Toulouse, France).
The performance using digital and interactive technologies is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union and Europe Day and is organized by the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan together with the French Institute with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the country.
According to a press release from the French Institute, Myselves is one of the most innovative trends in contemporary art in Europe. The performance is a dialogue between a dancer and a digital visual and sound device, specially developed by the research center InfoMus Casa Paganini (Genoa, Italy). This type of co-production between member countries is now commonplace in the European Union.
The choreographer of the performance is Jean-Marc Matos (Jean-Marc Matho). He has created about 45 choreographic projects presented in Europe, Central and South America, USA, Canada, Morocco, India and Pakistan.
