A resident of Nepal, Hari Budha Magar became the first person in the world with amputated legs above the knee, who conquered Everest, writes RT.

The 43-year-old climber climbed the “roof of the world”, as Everest is also called, on prostheses. He lost his legs in 2010 during military service.

According to Hari Budha Magar, disability gave him moral suffering, but he was able to overcome them and plans to inspire other people to never lose heart with his ascent of Everest.

- I just focus on what I like and what needs to be done. That's all. Step by step we will be able to climb Everest,” he said.

Everest became the second peak in the Himalayas conquered by a climber, in 2017 he was able to climb a peak over 6400 meters high.
