The Turkmen midfielder of “Kitchee” Ruslan Mingazov, who won the Hong Kong Football Association's award for the best football player of the 2022/23 season, said that the past season was one of the best in his career for him.

Also, I want to say thank you to Mr. Ken and Alex Chu who always told me that I will achieve the best here, it was a big dream from the first day here. Secondly, I want to say thank you to my family, my sisters, and my parents who have always supported me, as well as my wife and daughters. For more than 3 years we were not at home, it was a difficult time for us, and even for the whole world. But you support me every single day in any situation. Therefore, I want to share this special moment with you. And finally, I want to say thank you to Hong Kong for all the good people I met here. This is one of the best evenings in my football career. And in the end, I want to say one thing. I hope that people around the world can experience the same happiness that I am now. Let us remind that Mingazov joined “Kitchee” in March 2022 as a free agent, becoming the first Turkmen legionnaire in the Hong Kong Football Championship. This season, Mingazov, together with “Kitchee”, won the Hong Kong Cup, became the national champion and the owner of the Hong Kong Senior Shield trophy. The 31 years old midfielder in the 2022/2023 season took part in 18 matches of the Hong Kong championship and scored 17 goals, becoming one of the top scorers in the tournament.
