The Goi Peace Foundation of Japan has announced a call for applications for an international online essay writing competition on the theme "Youth Creating a Peaceful Future". Young people from Turkmenistan under the age of 25 will also be able to take part in the event, SNG.fm reports with reference to the press service of the organizer.
“The creative competition is held within the framework of the UNESCO program “Education for Sustainable Development: Towards the achievement of the SDGs”. Applicants must submit their applications by June 15 of the current year.
Contestants must write a short essay on the above topic in English, French or Japanese. The work must be unique. The text must be sent online using the link.
Essays will be judged in two age categories:
- children under 14;
- youth from 15 to 25 years old.
The winners of the creative competition will be announced on October 31st. Certificates and gifts will be mailed in December 2023.
