The Singapore Air airline has received a record annual profit for all 76 years of existence and has decided to encourage its employees by paying a bonus in the form of an 8-month salary, writes Bloomberg.
The bonus that the airline's employees will receive will consist of two parts: 6.65 monthly salaries will be covered from profits, and 1.5 salaries will be paid as a voluntary bonus from the airline. The management of Singapore Air decided in this way to thank their employees for their work during the difficult period of the pandemic. Moreover, the bonus will be awarded only to ordinary employees, top managers of the company will not receive payments.
Singapore Air's profit for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023 was 1.62 billion USD. The number of passengers for the year 6 times exceeded their number for the same period last year.
