Anniversary concert in honor of the 85th anniversary of the founder and permanent leader of the Mukam Violin Ensemble, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Harold Neimark was held at the National Music and Drama Theater. Magtymguly.

40 years ago, Harold Isaakovich Neimark created the Mukam Violin Ensemble for violin students of the Special Musical Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory. Since then, the ensemble has glorified the violin school of Turkmenistan far beyond its borders. The composition of the ensemble is updated every year: graduates of the boarding school leave it, their places are taken by younger students.

According to the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", the ensemble's repertoire includes up to 100 works by Turkmen and European composers.

And now the musicians performed “Turkmen dance” by Mered Annamuradov, “Waltz” by P.I. Tchaikovsky, "Saber Dance" by Aram Khachaturian, a fragment from the ballet "Raymonda" by Alexander Glazunov, "Schindler's List" by John Williams and other works.

The concert was attended by about 30 graduates of the music boarding school of different years - ex-musicians of the ensemble "Mukam". Many of them became music teachers and famous musicians. Among them is the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, singer Leyli Okdirova.

The concert ended with the soundtrack by Evgeny Doga from the movie "My Gentle and Affectionate Beast".

Harold Isaakovich addressed the audience in the hall with words of gratitude for such a wonderful evening.

“A lot of work is being done in our country so that the younger generation grows up healthy and has a broad intellectual outlook. The children of our boarding school not only study music for free, but also receive a scholarship for their studies. Parents, send your children to our school, and you will never regret such an act,” he said.
