In London, the winners of the British television award BAFTA were awarded, reports Deadline.
Kate Winslet won Best Actress for her role in the TV movie “I Exist: Ruth”. She also received an award for the same film, in which she acted as a producer.
Best Actor went to Ben Whishaw for the mini-series “This is going to hurt”. The statuette in the category “Best International Series” went to “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” with Evan Peters in the title role.
Among the winners of the TV award are also:
- Best Drama Series – “The Garvey Sisters Conspiracy”;
- Best Comedy Series – “Girls from Derry”;
- Best TV movie – “I Exist: Ruth”;
- Best Supporting Actor - Adeel Akhtar – “Sherwood”;
- Best Supporting Actress - Anne-Marie Duff – “Conspiracy of the Garvey Sisters”;
- Best female comedy role - Siobhan McSweeney – “Girls from Derry”;
- Best Male Comedy Performance - Lenny Rush – “Am I out of my mind?”.
