A jubilee exhibition of works by a married couple, ceramists Bayram and Bahar Annagulyevs, has opened at the Ashgabat Exhibition Center. The head of the family is celebrating his 55th birthday, and his wife is 50th.
At the exhibition, taking the opportunity, their daughters Ayna and Jennet also presented their works, who also followed in the footsteps of their parents, choosing a creative path for themselves, the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by ceramists, students of the Academy of Arts, art historians, lovers of arts and crafts and numerous friends of the Annagulyev family.
People's Artist of Turkmenistan Maral Atayeva noted:
- Bayram and Bahar are my students, and as a teacher I am very proud that they have reached such heights in their work. Although they work together, they have different directions in ceramics. The main thing in Bayram's work is jugs.
The artist treats them as a cult item that helps to quench thirst and continue the life of mankind. What kind of jugs were not presented by the ceramist at the exhibition - these are cone-shaped, and with legs, and with two necks. Hundreds of vessels, and none is alike.
In the work of Bahar there is a subtle sense of humor.
Her ceramic works "Jabpak under a blanket", "Turkmen girls", "Apple tree" and others involuntarily cause a smile.
Many of her ceramic figurines are made in the installation, as a result of which a funny story is formed, as, for example, in Rural Fashionistas.
