Arslan Aynazarov was elected Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association

Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Arslan Aynazarov was elected to the post of Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA). Elections of the new composition of the organization's executive committee and vice-presidents took place today at the 8th CAFA congress in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), the official website of the FFT reports.

Mohammad Yusuf Korgar, President of the Afghanistan Football Federation, was elected Second Vice-President of CAFA.

President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali was re-elected as CAFA President for a new four-year term.

The Secretary General of the Iranian Football Federation Hedayat Mombeni joined the new CAFA Executive Committee, and the Vice-President of the Kyrgyz Football Union Dastanbek Konokbaev became a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation from the Central Asian Football Association.

The CAFA Congress in Dushanbe was attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, leaders and delegates of the Football Federations of Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of FIFA and AFC.

It should be noted that the Central Asian Football Association, which was founded in June 2014, is included in one of the five zones of the AFC. CAFA unites the football federations of six countries - Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
