A strong dust storm hit the US state of Illinois, causing a large-scale car accident on a freeway, writes “Kommersant”.
Almost 100 vehicles collided on the road due to near-zero visibility, killing six people and injuring over 30 others. Two trucks on the highway caught fire. The traffic jam stretched for almost 2 kilometers due to the accident.
The speed of the wind, which lifted tons of sand and earth from the fields, reached 74 kilometers per hour.
