In order to apply for a visa, it is mandatory to provide:

  2. Printed and signed online visa application form and printed confirmation of appointment.
  3. One recent, frontal, color photograph (light background), bareheaded like a passport.
  4. Required materials to apply for the appropriate category visa.

The full list of required documents can be found on the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan.

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ashgabat is located at 45 Archabil avenue.

China and Turkmenistan are connected by direct flights of two airlines. “Turkmenistan” Airlines operates regular flights from Ashgabat to Beijing. The Chinese carrier China Southern Airlines flies on the route Urumqi (URC) - Ashgabat (ASB) - Urumqi (URC) once a week.

China announced that it will resume issuing tourist visas to foreigners in March 2023.
