President Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded Yakov Dik, director of the Ahal-Teke horse breeding farm of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Carrie Jo Stewart, a private horse breeder from Canada, with the honorary title of Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan. The relevant Decree of the head of state was read out during the 13th meeting of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding held today in Ashgabat, the information program Watan of the Turkmen television reported today.
As emphasized in the document, the honorary title "Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan" was awarded to foreign citizens for "a significant contribution to the development of the horse breeding industry, merits, high performance and professional skills in breeding and preserving the productive and breeding qualities of Ahal-Teke horses, which are the national treasure and pride of Turkmens, and also on the occasion of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse”.
We remind that the National holiday of the Turkmen horse is celebrated in Turkmenistan on the last Sunday of April.
