At the Swiss auction, Koller sold a box with the bones of a prehistoric predatory lizard - a tyrannosaurus rex, or scientifically Tirannosaurus Rex, reports “Argumenty i Fakty” with reference to the USA Today website. The name of the buyer who laid out 6,1 million USD for the skeleton of a tyrannosaurus remained unknown.

The Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton was sold disassembled, 293 fragments were packed into ten boxes. When assembled, the figure of a Tyrannosaurus rex is 4 meters high, and the length from the tip of the tail to the nose is 11,6 meters.

In fact, the bones of the sold Tyrannosaurus Rex, which received the nickname Trinity, did not belong to one animal, but to different ones. The remains of ancient lizards, from which Trinity was “collected”, were found between 2008 and 2013 at excavations in the states of Wyoming and Montana.
