Topical issues of further development of the established constructive interstate dialogue were discussed during a telephone conversation held today between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the Watan news program of Turkmen television reported.

The head of the highest representative body of people's power noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the constant development and strengthening of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various areas, including building up political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties based on good neighborliness, equality and mutual respect .

Expressing confidence in further mutually beneficial partnership with the maximum use of the existing potential, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the readiness to carry out effective work for the benefit of the two states and peoples.

Reaffirming the commitment of both countries to unbreakable friendly and fraternal ties, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran assured that all efforts would continue to be made to intensify fruitful bilateral cooperation in priority areas.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the head of the neighboring state for sincere words of support on the occasion of the death of his mother Ogulabat eje.

Once again, expressing deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased, and words of sympathy to the people of Turkmenistan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran wished that the bright memory of the mother of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and the grandmother of the head of Turkmenistan would bring patience, consolation and strength of strength.
