Pushkin Theater in Ashgabat will receive financial support from Russia

The Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater in Ashgabat will receive financial support from the Russian Federation in 2023. According to TASS with reference to the statement of the Secretary of State, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova, the source of funding will be the autonomous non-profit organization Russian Seasons.

Also among the recipients of financial assistance will be Russian theaters from 10 countries.

Financial support for foreign Russian theaters is carried out in 2 areas: the purchase of the most modern theatrical stage equipment and support for premiere productions.

As Manilova clarified: "5 million rubles were allocated for equipment, 5 million rubles for productions."

The Deputy Minister announced the list of theaters receiving funding. These are: State Russian Drama Theatre. F. A. Iskander in Abkhazia, the K. S. Stanislavsky State Russian Drama Theater in Armenia, the M. Gorky National Academic Drama Theater and the Grodno Regional Puppet Theater in Belarus, the A. S. Griboyedov State Academic Russian Drama Theater in Georgia , Akmola Regional Russian Drama Theater and Karaganda State Russian Drama Theater. K. S. Stanislavsky in Kazakhstan, Chingiz Aitmatov Russian Drama Theater and A. Umuraliev Bishkek City Drama Theater in Kyrgyzstan, Mayakovsky State Russian Drama Theater in Tajikistan, A. S. Pushkin Russian Drama Theater in Turkmenistan, Youth Theater of Uzbekistan , the State Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan, the Fergana Regional Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan and the Khetagurov South Ossetian State Drama Theater in South Ossetia.

Earlier, we reported that the A.S. Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater among other social and cultural facilities, according to the plan of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, is subject to major repairs in 2023.
