From May 8, 2023, the Japanese authorities will lift all restrictive measures when entering the country from abroad, acting as part of the prevention of the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan.

The removal of entry restrictions also applies to tourists from Turkmenistan.

Traveling to Japan now requires a certificate of receipt of three doses of the World Health Organization-approved COVID-19 vaccine or a negative coronavirus test within three days prior to arrival.

After May 8, tourists will no longer be asked for such documents.

All other entry requirements and restrictions, including quarantine, were lifted by the Japanese government in 2022.
