Today, Turkmenistan, together with all progressive mankind, celebrates the World Health Day. On this occasion, the President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the people of Turkmenistan with a congratulatory speech, which, in particular, reads:
“Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on World Health Day! I am convinced that the events held this year under the motto “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar” in honor of this wonderful international holiday will increase our pride in our Motherland, a healthy and happy life, and the grandiose achievements of our sovereign state!”
In commemoration of the World Health Day, mass physical culture, sports and cultural events are held in Turkmenistan, which increases the international prestige of the country.
In developing the country's socio-economic potential, special importance is attached to the development of mass physical culture and sports, the Olympic movement, the relevant national programs are being successfully implemented, and comprehensive reforms are being carried out.
In a short time, large sports and equestrian complexes, stadiums, sports schools, the Olympic Village have been built in Turkmenistan that meet international requirements, and a modern specialized infrastructure has been formed.
Medical centers, specialized clinics, sanatoriums equipped with innovative technologies have been built in Ashgabat and velayat centers. On this basis, great success has been achieved in the formation of an advanced sports and recreation infrastructure that meets international standards.
Turkmenistan systematically strengthens and increases cooperation with the international community. The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the Amul-Hazar 2018 international rally, and the World Weightlifting Championship have demonstrated the country's enormous sports potential to the world.
“Let this wonderful international holiday bring glory to independent neutral Turkmenistan – a country of health and inspiration, and multiply the bright colors of the happy life of our courageous people!”, the head of state concluded, wishing his compatriots good health, a happy and prosperous life, great success in work for the sake of the future prosperity of the Motherland.
