Tatarstan is active working in Turkmenistan within the framework of Russian-Turkmen relations. These relations are historical, especially in cultural and humanitarian terms, but today it is very important to expand economic contacts, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov believes.
“I am sincerely glad to be in sunny Turkmenistan. I am grateful to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan for the time he spent. We had a very good conversation,” the press service of Rais RT quoted Minnikhanov as saying.
According to the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the meeting with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, he reported on the progress of joint projects implemented by Tatarstan oilmen and machine-building enterprises, spoke about work in the humanitarian sphere, especially in educational programs. He also noted that Tatarstan and Turkmenistan will look for new areas of cooperation - in the gas chemical complex and in the field of information technology.
“I believe that the meeting was very warm and fruitful, and there will be results. Our relationship is historical. These are also cultural and humanitarian ties, but today it is very necessary to expand our economic contacts. Here all the conditions for our enterprises have been created, we are sincerely grateful and will expand these areas,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
