From March 23 to April 1, in Ylham Sports Palace in Mary, a series of mini-football matches were held among employees of IE Röwşen and OJSC Maksat Deri to win the Challenge Cup. Five teams took part in the tournament: IE Röwşen Aýakgaplary, IE Röwşen Gurluşyk, IE Röwşen Agro, Mary-Deri Aýakgap and Maksat Deri.
This competition among the workers of the leather enterprises of Turkmenistan was held for the first time. According to the terms of the championship, the winner was determined by the number of goals scored throughout the tournament.
The first place was taken by the team of IE Röwşen Gurluşyk, whose players scored 13 goals. The team of Röwşen Aýakgap lost only one goal to the winner, and the team of Röwşen Agro was in third place, scoring 6 goals. Mary-Deri Aýakgap and Maksat Deri scored 3 and 1 goals respectively.
The winners were awarded with a special Challenge Cup and valuable prizes.
