Three-time world champion in the Russian national team, forward of the Kazan hockey club "Ak Bars" Danis Zaripov arrived in Ashgabat and took part in the training process of the national hockey team of Turkmenistan.
It is worth noting that Zaripov did not arrive alone, but along with an extensive delegation of 10 players and coaches from the Ak Bars youth team.
According to the Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Kazan team arrived in Ashgabat on Monday, this morning they already had their first training session with the players of the national team of Turkmenistan.
The highly experienced coach Artyom Anisimov supervises the training process, he has coaches of goalkeepers, defenders and forwards as his assistants. In addition, the legendary Danis Zaripov shares his experience with the hockey players of the national team of Turkmenistan.
It should be reminded that from April 17 to April 23, the players of the national team of Turkmenistan will play at the World Ice Hockey Championship (third division), where they will face the teams of Luxembourg, Thailand, Taiwan and the hosts of the tournament - South Africa.
The first game of the national team of Turkmenistan will be held on April 17 against the hosts of the championship - the team of South Africa. On April 18, Bayram Allayarov's wards will play with Luxembourg, on April 20 - with Thailand and will end the tournament on April 23 with a match with Taiwan.
All matches will be held at the Ice Station Arena in Cape Town (Western Cape, South Africa). The Ice Station facility was opened in December 2000. The ice rink is the home arena for the teams of the Western Province Hockey Association of South Africa.
