CIS and WHO will expand ties in the field of healthcare

Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the Interstate Commission of the CIS member states for cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO). The agenda of the event included such topics as the organization of primary health care, the exchange of information between relevant departments, the deepening of cooperation with international organizations, reports the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

“Representatives of Kazakhstan shared their experience of international cooperation at the meeting. They said that in 2022, the first WHO demonstration platform on primary health care in the European Region was opened in the republic”, - the message says.

The meeting participants noted that the exchange of information between the ministries of health of the CIS member states on topical health issues of mutual interest is important and relevant. The need to develop interaction with WHO collaborating centers located at the Commonwealth site was also identified.

Let us note that the Interstate Commission for Cooperation with WHO was established in 2017 and is a working body of the CIS Health Cooperation Council.
