From 2035, the sale of new cars running on gasoline and diesel fuel will be banned in Europe, reported the TASS news agency.
This is being done within the framework of a program to reduce carbon emissions by 55% by 2034 and a gradual transition to electric transport.
Among other measures for the decarbonization of road transport, it is planned to introduce the registration of cars using the so-called “carbon-neutral fuel”, which also includes hydrogen. It is assumed that after 2035, after the gradual departure of vehicles with internal combustion engines, hydrogen cars in the EU countries will be sold along with electric vehicles.
