On March 26, elections were held in Turkmenistan for deputies of the Mejlis, members of the velayat, etrap, city halk maslahaty and gengeshes.
On this day, 42 polling stations at the diplomatic missions and consulates of Turkmenistan abroad were opened for voting.
According to the data provided by the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan, 12 907 voters were registered abroad. In total, by 19:00 Ashgabat time, more than 12 300 people had voted, reported on today's “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
