The international conference "Main Directions and Opportunities for the Development of Tourism in Turkmenistan" brought together many tourism specialists from China, Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Korea. They got acquainted with the possibilities of international tourism in Turkmenistan, established contacts with local representatives.
According to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", a participant of the conference, Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan Gulshat Bakyeva said that one of the results of the conference is the signing of agreements on cooperation with Turkmenistan by travel companies from Bulgaria, Russia, Croatia, Uzbekistan, China and other countries.
“Travel companies of these countries have been cooperating with Turkmen partners for many years,” she noted. - Thanks to the attention of the President of Turkmenistan, in recent years we have also received many new travel agencies, now there are more than 70 of them. Therefore, newcomers need to study the experience of their senior and foreign colleagues, and this conference is the best platform. In this regard, this multilateral meeting and the signing of cooperation agreements are important for the future of the tourism sector of Turkmenistan, G. Bakyeva emphasized.
