Turkmenistan Airlines has extended the ground handling agreement with the Saudi company Saudi Ground Services. This was reported in a press release from Saudi Ground Services on Twitter.

The agreement assumes that the air carrier will fly to King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah) and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport (Medina) until 2028.

Ground handling, which includes passenger service, cargo handling, as well as maintenance, of Turkmen Airlines aircraft at the airports of both cities will be carried out by the Saudi Ground Service.

We remind that the opening of regular flights from Ashgabat to Jeddah was scheduled for April 2020. Later, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company postponed the opening of regular flights to Saudi Arabia indefinitely.

Today, "Turkmenistan Airlines" operate regular flights from Ashgabat to Istanbul (Turkey), Moscow (RF), Kazan (Tatarstan, RF), Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and Dubai (UAE). Since the end of March, Turkmenistan Airlines has resumed regular flights from Ashgabat to Beijing (PRC) and London (Great Britain).
