The Russian Chess Federation (RCF) has officially moved from the European Chess Union to the Asian Chess Federation (ACF). This was reported on the official website of the organization.
This decision was made in Abu Dhabi at the Continental Assembly of the Asian Chess Federation.
It is reported that 29 delegates voted in favor of the FSR joining the ACF, 1 voted against, 6 abstained. The official transition will take place on May 1, 2023.
The FSR became the first Russian sports organization that moved from a European federation to an Asian one. Today, 52 associations have been gathered under the auspices of the Asian organization.
