Kyrgyzstan will start printing passports of citizens of its country on its own territory, and not abroad, reported the website Rg.ru.
The head of state Sadyr Japarov announced plans to print blank passports of Kyrgyzstan on his own. The production of documents, as well as the printing of the national currency, will be carried out by the state printing complex “Uchkun”.
The printing house of the complex is provided with modern printing equipment, paper for passports will be purchased from domestic manufacturers. Passport printing will start in May this year.
According to President Japarov, the printing of blank passports, technical passports and driver's licenses, as well as the national currency will save up to 15 billion soms annually, which were previously spent on paying for these services to foreigners.
