A.S. Pushkin Turkmen-Russian school in Ashgabat received 8 000 textbooks from Russia. TASS reports with reference to the First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo Yulia Zaitseva.
The transfer of school textbooks took place within the framework of the state program "Development of Education".
“Rossotrudnichestvo is the operator of this program and supplies educational, methodological and educational literature to all countries of the world where it exists. For the school. Pushkin, we brought textbooks that meet the federal state standard of education, we handed over more than 8 thousand copies. Everything is absolutely free, this is a gift from Russia to Turkmenistan,” she said.
Zaytseva noted that after the adoption of these textbooks, the school will conduct an audit to replace the old manuals.
“The school and I have also made a joint application for textbooks, which we expect by the end of the year,” she added.
The joint Turkmen-Russian school was founded in 2002. In 2009, its new building was built.
