A new batch of humanitarian aid was sent from Turkmenistan to Türkiye

On Saturday, 130 mattresses were sent from the capital of Turkmenistan on a regular Turkish Airlines flight to the earthquake-affected areas of Türkiye. This was stated by Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral, reports the news channel TRT Haber.

“With the coordination of our embassy, we continue to send humanitarian aid from Turkmenistan to the earthquake zone. Last night [February 25 — approx. edition] we sent another 130 beds to Türkiye on the Türk Hava Yolları flight. We ensure that urgently needed materials are delivered to the right place”, - the ambassador wrote on Twitter.

Let us remind, on February 6, a series of earthquakes occurred in southeastern Türkiye and northern Syria with an epicenter near the Turkish province of Gaziantep. The strongest was a shock of magnitude 7,8, the second strongest was a shock of 7,6 points in the province of Kahramanmarash. In total, the earthquake affected 10 regions of the country. The number of victims of earthquakes in Türkiye exceeded 44,3 thousand people.
