Last week, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan sent an additional batch of humanitarian aid to Türkiye by regular flight, reports the official website of the organization.
60 heaters and other essentials were sent to the disaster zone. This shipment is not the first. The National Red Crescent Society works closely with experienced professionals to ensure the quality distribution of humanitarian aid. Residents of Balkanabat contributed to the treasure in sending humanitarian aid. Local residents brought the essentials: sanitary kits, warm clothes, and food to the Balkan velayat branch of the NRCST.
On February 7, Turkmenistan sent the first plane with humanitarian aid to the earthquake zone in Türkiye. He landed on the same day at Gaziantep airport with medical staff and cargo, which included medicines, medical supplies and textiles.
Additional humanitarian aid from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was sent on February 10. A batch of humanitarian aid with various types of warm clothes, medicines and medical supplies, as well as food products was handed over to children and their families.
The third plane with humanitarian aid to the victims of the earthquakes in Türkiye was sent on February 16. On February 17, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan sent an additional batch of humanitarian aid to Türkiye by road.
Let us remind, earlier in Türkiye and Syria there was a series of earthquakes. The strongest shocks had a magnitude of 7,8 (out of 10). As a result of natural disasters, many buildings collapsed. Thousands of people became victims of the disaster.
