On Thursday, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan met with the Chairman of the Asian Institute for Eco-Civilization, Research and Development, Zahid Latif Khan.
According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed the potential for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in the field of urbanization.
For the Pakistan side, a presentation was made of the new city of Arkadag, which is being built on the basis of the concept of a "smart" city. The uses of environmentally friendly materials in the construction of buildings, as well as the introduction of modern innovative technologies, were especially noted.
Mr. Zahid Latif Khan, highly appreciating the quality of infrastructure in the city of Arkadag, expressed interest in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan and exchanging experience in the field of urban construction, the source said.
