Copies of credentials were presented today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic (with residence in Ankara) Elvis Antonio Alam Lora, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
Deputy Foreign Minister Myakhri Byashimova congratulated the guest on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post, wishing him success in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties noted the commitment of the parties to the development of a bilateral constructive dialogue in the international arena, including within the framework of the United Nations, as well as the need for mutual support of peace-loving initiatives and projects aimed at maintaining peace and stability throughout the world.
The diplomats spoke in favor of expanding bilateral ties, intensifying visits at various levels, holding political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs.
