Today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Yerevan Muhametgeldi Ayazov met with the newly appointed Minister of Science, Education, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan.
During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, as well as in sports, reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
When discussing issues of cooperation regarding the field of sports, Zhanna Andreasyan invited the athletes of Turkmenistan to take part in their regular training camps in the sports complexes of Armenia.
For his part, Muhametgeldi Ayazov, referring to the Days of Culture of Armenia held in Turkmenistan in 2019, noted that the possibility of holding the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia this year was discussed. The Ambassador proposed to hold a conference and a concert dedicated to the great Turkmen poet-thinker Magtymguly Fragi, whose 300th anniversary will be solemnly celebrated in 2024, within the framework of this cultural action.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the field of science through the implementation of joint research programs between partner structures of the two countries.
Let us note that a draft program of cooperation between the governments of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia in the field of culture and art is being prepared for signing.
