Residents of Uzbekistan using the energy of solar panels for household needs will be able to receive subsidies from the state, Sputnik Uzbekistan writes.

For each kilowatt-hour generated by solar panels, you can get from 1000 soums. The program, called "Solar House", starts on April 1, 2023. Its goal is to stimulate the use of low-power solar panels (up to 50 kW) in households. It is planned that solar panels will be installed by up to 37 000 residents of the republic.

The solar panels will allow residents to meet their domestic electricity needs, with the surplus redirected to the public grid. It is also planned to launch power plants operating on solar and wind energy throughout the country.
