The Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Atageldi Germanov and the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko discussed further cooperation prospects in an online format.
Murashko proposed cooperation in the field of medication provision. He noted that many quality and affordable medicines and medical devices are produced in Russia.
“Innovative drugs are also produced in Russia, which are used for the treatment of oncological, rheumatological, orphan diseases”, he said.
The Minister of the Russian Federation also invited the Turkmen side to take part in the “Healthy Society” Forum in St. Petersburg.
At the event, which will already take place in spring, will be an opportunity to discuss specific areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical education, he notes. Besides, within the framework of the forum there is a possibility to get acquainted with the leading medical centers of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia in St.Petersburg.
On his behalf, Atageldi Germanov thanked Mikhail Murashko for the invitation and noted that the quality of the Russian medical education is highly estimated in Turkmenistan and is interested in cooperation in the areas of oncology, children’s surgery and obstetrics, is reported on the website of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.
