Tajikistan has lifted coronavirus restrictions at border crossings

Tajikistan has lifted all covid restrictions at border crossings – already from February 8, 2023, travelers will not be required to provide a vaccination certificate or PCR tests, the “Hovar” National News Agency of Tajikistan.

The resolution of the republican headquarters “was adopted taking into account stable assessments of the epidemiological situation with COVID-19 infection in Tajikistan, a high level of vaccination among the population of the target groups of the country, normalization of the situation associated with this disease in the states of the region and the world, elimination of restrictions on the transportation of passengers and goods by air, land and water transport”, the message says.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan has been instructed to carry out the activities of quarantine and sanitary points of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological surveillance Service when crossing the state border of Tajikistan in the “normal” mode and take into account the general state of health of citizens of Tajikistan and foreign countries at state border crossings.

The Ministry of Health of Tajikistan was instructed to held vaccinations of target groups of population of the republic by request or appeal.

A citizen of Turkmenistan can enter Tajikistan only with preliminary obtained visa at the Consulate department of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Ashgabat. A citizen of Turkmenistan has a right to obtain a visa to Tajikistan in the simplified order.
