The Government of Kyrgyzstan works out the issue of creation of south transport corridor to Russia, which will go from the southern regions of the republic to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan to the Caspian Sea and further from the port Turkmenbashi to Astrakhan. The new route will optimize transport and logistics chains and increase the volumes of mutual trade.
As the “Kabar” edition notes, the Ministries of transport and economics of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, as well as cargo carriers are working on the project.
“This will be the shortest route for the delivery of products to the southern regions of Russia through the Caspian Sea”, commented Temir Saryev, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan.
