The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in 2022 amounted to 926,3 million USD, reported Trend news agency with reference to the data of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that trade turnover between the countries increased by 2,7% compared to 2021.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported goods worth 194,8 million USD to Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan delivered goods to Uzbekistan worth 731,5 million USD.
At the end of 2022, Turkmenistan entered the top 10 largest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan.
In 2021, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to 881,9 million USD, which is 61% more than in 2020.
The foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for 2022 as a whole exceeded 50 billion USD, an increase of 18,6% or 7,8 billion USD compared to 2021. During the reporting period, the Russian Federation was the largest foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan (9,2 billion USD).
