Every year the number of places allocated to foreign citizens for training under the quota of the Russian government is growing. This is reported on the page in social networks Russian House in Ashgabat.

According to Rossotrudnichestvo, in 2014, 15 000 people from abroad could study at Russian universities under a quota, and in 2023 30 000 quotas were allocated for foreigners.

“The main task is to provide foreign citizens with a quality education so that, upon returning to their homeland, they work for the development of the economies of their states”, the message says.

According to Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of the Agency, quotas should be allocated specifically for those specialties that will be in demand in the country for the next 4-6 years.

In addition, in 2021, Rossotrudnichestvo launched the “Education in Russia for Foreigners” portal (education-in-russia.com).

Now foreign citizens can apply on it to study at Russian universities under a quota in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Today, more than 30 thousand students from Turkmenistan study in Russia. This year, the Government of Russia has allocated 250 quota places to Turkmenistan in all areas of training - from specialists to graduate students.

Let us remind that in January, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan approved the list of world-renowned universities for 2023. The new list of foreign universities whose diplomas will be recognized in Turkmenistan includes 75 leading Russian universities.
