Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, reports TASS.
“The Russian delegation visited Ashgabat, a beautiful city, very beautiful. Let me convey to you the best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said that he is always waiting for you in Moscow. I also wanted to thank you for the great attention to the development of our relations, Turkmen-Russian”, Mishustin said.
He also reminded that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was recently in Moscow. “An inter-parliamentary commission has been formed, [Speaker of the Federation Council] Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko, who is a big fan, loves Turkmenistan very much, also conveyed the warmest words”, Mishustin continued. He reminded that Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, is going to visit Turkmenistan in the near future.
Speaking about humanitarian cooperation, Mishustin drew attention to the fact that on Thursday in Ashgabat he visited the joint Turkmen-Russian school named after A.S. Pushkin, calling it wonderful.
“Guys blew me away. We read poems in the Turkmen language, talked about poetry, literature, culture”, the Prime Minister shared.
“This is a symbol of friendship. I said that, guys, if you [value] the friendship between our peoples, this is the result of your studies, the result of your work here at this school”, he added.
