President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin commented on the abnormally cold weather in countries of Central Asia at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on economic issues on Wednesday, reports kremlin.ru.
In particular, the Russian leader said the following regarding the abnormal colds in the Central Asian region:
- Look at what's happening now: the weather is warm in Europe and in Turkmenistan, today I spoke with the President of Turkmenistan [Serdar Berdimuhamedov] - the temperature there is minus 25 degrees. In Turkmenistan! In Uzbekistan - minus 23.
Vladimir Putin said that it is impossible to give a definite forecast for the results of agriculture for 2023 due to extreme climate changes, and therefore it is necessary to maintain stable reserves of agricultural products in Russia.
