The organizers of the “Miss Universe” contest apologized to the contestant from Kyrgyzstan for not being able to clearly pronounce the name of her country, writes Gazeta.ru.
A video of the apology issued by the head of the “Miss Universe” organization, Amy Emmerich, was posted on the organization's YouTube channel. It is also attended by the representative of Kyrgyzstan, Altynai Botoyarova, who accepted an apology and thanked the organizers for admitting the mistake and willingness to avoid such incidents in the future.
The winner of the “Miss Universe” contest this time was the representative of the United States, Bonnie Gabrielle.
